ISDP Program Description

The purpose of the Information Services Development Program (ISDP) is to develop a diverse pipeline of highly talented IS professionals who are ready to take on the future challenging roles in GIS. In the program, participants will continuously grow through robust assignments that provide exposure to the business and function across the globe and that deliver significant impact and value to OC by:

  • Bridging the gap between academia and the corporate environment
  • Providing coaching to program participants to develop their own capabilities
  • Accelerating development and enhancing performance to prepare participants for post-program roles
  • Using focused growth plans and matching targeted growth with projects
  • Delivering outcomes through leading key projects and initiatives 

 

The program provides both breadth and depth in various IS teams and roles via four (4) rotational assignments, each lasting approximately six months. The program enables participants to discover their strengths and passions, and learn about OC’s global businesses, customers, and technology. Each assignment will be supplemented with on the job and classroom training. Specifically, the development program will include:

  • A robust onboarding plan, allowing program participants to learn about OC’s global businesses and their products along with understanding the role that GIS plays in supporting the business strategy, manufacturing, and supply chain
  • Training and support for working with state-of-the-art technologies employed by OC (ERP, Digital/Web, Analytics, Security, cloud-based infrastructure, Artificial Intelligence, etc.)
  • Mentoring and coaching focused on developing leadership presence and skills
  • Project management experience through training and hands-on application
  • Building the foundation for success so that every program participant will be ready to fill impactful roles in GIS upon graduation

 Selection Criteria:

  • B.A. or B.S. in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related degree is required
  • Communication skills that can drive work

Location:

Rotations are located at World Headquarters in Toledo, Ohio, or Tampa, FL locations, but could be subject to other locations based on business needs and growth opportunities.
