The Nonwovens North America Supply Chain Leader is responsible for leading and optimizing the sales and operational efforts across the North American region. This role is fundamental in integrating the activities of planning, customer care, logistics, and material procurement to ensure seamless execution of sales and operations strategies, ultimately enhancing customer satisfaction and driving business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and provide leadership to the planning, customer care, logistics, and material procurement teams within the North American region.
- Align sales forecast with operational capacity by collaborating with planners to manage and adjust production schedules and inventory levels.
- Lead development and implementation of S&OE strategies and processes across North America, ensuring regional nuances are considered while maintaining global strategic alignment.
- Drive the S&OE monthly cycle, including the preparation and facilitation of decision-making forums to ensure cross-functional alignment and execution against targets.
- Foster a customer-centric culture within the customer care team to improve service levels, response times, and overall customer satisfaction.
- Optimize logistics network and strategy, including shipping routes, warehouse operations, and distribution channels to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Work with material procurement to develop robust supplier relationships and implement strategies for cost control, quality assurance, and supply chain resilience.
- Collaborate with sales teams to accurately translate customer needs into operational plans and manage the order-to-cash process effectively.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor and report on the performance of sales and operation execution activities, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Lead and mentor staff, championing a team-oriented environment that encourages professional development and high performance.
- Drive risk management processes for supply chain and sales operations to mitigate potential disruptions.
- Be the point of escalation for critical customer or operational issues, and lead problem resolution in a timely and effective manner.
- Engage with senior leadership, providing insights and strategic recommendations based on operational and market data.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and legal requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management or a related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of leadership experience in sales, operations, supply chain or a related area, with direct experience managing diverse teams.
- Proven experience leading S&OE within a large, complex, and multi-site organization.
- In-depth knowledge of planning, customer service, logistics, and procurement processes.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
- Critical thinker with a data-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Experience with ERP and CRM systems, business intelligence tools, and proficiency in supply chain software.
- Strong change management skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Relevant professional certifications, such as APICS CPIM or CSCP, are beneficial.
