PURPOSE OF THE JOB

 

The Process Owner within Global Business Services (GBS) organization operates inside the Process Excellence and Continuous Improvement pillar. Responsibility includes enterprise level process governance and design, global subject matter expert in system processes, and execution technologies.

The Process Owner partners with IT professionals and cross functional business partners to train, educate, and advise best practices achieving standardization and simplification to ensure customer satisfaction.

This role is responsible for leading the definition, alignment, and implementation of processes across the enterprise. Additionally, this role is accountable to explain, present, and train the details of the processes as needed.

 

Each process owner in this organization will support and have expertise in a specified area within Supply Chain.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Process Ownership

  • Creates and owns system processes performed within OC businesses, corporate functions, third party providers, and Shared Services
  • Responsible for ensuring processes are executed according to established standards, process documentation is current, and processes conform to OC controls
  • Partnership with regional and guidance to regional GBS teams on system access/requirements
  • Responsible for designing processes to enable our stakeholders to grow their business while maintaining global and local standard where possible
  • Day-to-day operations point to solve and prioritize process issues
  • Drive improvement by partnering with execution teams that increase the overall efficiency and quality of the process
  • Understanding of how process changes impact labor, safety, service, and inventory integrity
  • Partners with Enterprise Process Leader and key stakeholders to identify new system capabilities/processes to support all business requirements 
  • Develops, maintains and provides all end- user training (internal and external) including refresh training; using train the trainer methodology when needed

Process Health and Governance

  • Ongoing monitoring of operational metrics to mitigate operational interruptions, including investigation and resolution
  • Partner with Enterprise Leader on identification and on-going use of health KPI’s
  • Use KPIs to identify process gaps
  • Escalate to appropriate execution team if performance related
  • Own governance of business roles within SAP, ensuring proper role design, assignment, and compliance with security and segregation-of-duties standards.

 

Functional System Deployment

  • Participates in design and development workshops to provide a point of view in all supply chain system processes and development
  • Participates in UAT, cutover and supports system go-lives and stabilization and/or coordinates with regional team members
  • Assesses system process change requests to determine impact and recommended course of action with an Enterprise mindset

 

Business Partnership

  • Drive process design and improvement initiatives with a forward-looking approach, actively identifying opportunities to integrate automation and AI to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
  • Influence and manage stakeholder’s expectations
  • Engage with Enterprise SC group and IT stakeholders to ensure process design aligns with system capabilities and enterprise optimization goals
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and partners to co-design and prioritize process enhancements that enable efficiency and digital enablement
  • Ownership of SOPs – Maintain, update and communicate SOP changes to ensure appropriate execution of updated process

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or business-related field preferred
  • 4+ years Supply Chain, Warehouse/Distribution, or similar field experience required
  • Experience using SAP ECC WM or SAP EWM or similar ERP architecture
  • Ability to travel up to 30% (both domestic and international)

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Exposure to SAP S4/HANA and experience supporting process stabilization post S/4 cutover
  • Experience in a multi-national corporation in a corporate setting desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and implement process improvements
  • Demonstrated rate of growth and success in prior roles
  • Change leadership experience and/or complex project leadership experience
