Product Manager

As a Product Manager, Structural Insulated Solutions (SIS), you will play a critical role in building and scaling an emerging portfolio within Owens Corning’s Foam business. This role is responsible for defining and executing product strategies that drive aggressive growth and profitability, including delivering a path to a $100MM business by 2028. You will lead the development and commercialization of new products, improve the performance of the existing portfolio, identify expansion opportunities, and serve as the product expert for the SIS segment.
This role requires strong strategic thinking, customer focus, and analytical rigor to translate customer needs, product technology, and market trends into actionable strategies. In partnership with Channel Marketing, Insights, Science & Technology, and Sales, you will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the SIS portfolio, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives.
POSITION LOCATION: Toledo, Ohio, hybrid 4 days in office.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Define and lead the product portfolio strategy for SIS, building a multi-year roadmap across residential and commercial applications to drive growth and profitability.
- Drive end-to-end product management, including market analysis, customer engagement, value proposition development, SKU optimization, and lifecycle management.
- Identify and execute growth opportunities, including new product innovation, system solutions, partnerships, and adjacencies supported by robust business cases.
- Lead commercialization of new products, ensuring on-time, on-budget execution through stage-gate processes and strong cross-functional alignment.
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Pricing to develop go-to-market strategies, including positioning, messaging, and value-based pricing approaches.
- Conduct market, customer, and competitive analysis to inform strategy, anticipate industry trends, and manage risks related to technology, codes, and regulations.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and technical teams to define production strategies and ensure successful product delivery and performance.
- Leverage digital tools and analytics to monitor product performance, generate insights, and guide strategic decisions.
- Lead and influence cross-functional teams to execute key initiatives, ensuring alignment, accountability, and achievement of business outcomes.
- Support strategic planning activities, including long-range planning, performance tracking, and communication of business strategy to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in product management, marketing, or strategic consulting, including direct customer-facing experience and ownership of product or category initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead product strategy and execution, including new product development, commercialization, portfolio management, and growth initiatives.
- Strong analytical capabilities, including experience using financial, market, and customer data to build business cases and support decision-making.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a matrixed organization to align priorities and deliver results.
- Experience managing product positioning, pricing, and channel strategies to drive revenue growth and margin improvement.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in building products, construction, or industrial/manufacturing environments.
- P&L or category ownership experience.
- Experience working with external partners, suppliers, or strategic alliances to drive growth initiatives.
- Background in segmentation, customer strategy, and go-to-market planning.
- Experience leading complex projects or scaling emerging businesses.
