As a Senior Sourcing Professional - Corporate & IT, you will provide procurement leadership, guidance and expertise through the development and execution of stakeholder aligned sourcing strategies.  Your work will drive enterprise value through cost reduction, productivity initiatives, supplier management and proactive stakeholder engagement. You will ensure Owens Corning’s values and business policies are upheld, while demonstrating a commitment toward personal development, high performance, business acumen, market knowledge and leadership influence. This position will utilize industry information and benchmarking, draw upon your knowledge of the local and global markets, interpret key stakeholder requirements, and leverage actionable data analytics to create category strategies, develop sourcing options and execute sustainable supplier relationships.

You bring deep IT sourcing expertise and an “outside‑in” market perspective to influence business outcomes across software, SaaS, cloud, telecom, infrastructure, managed services, and professional services categories. Through strong business acumen, data‑driven insights, and advanced negotiation capability, you design and execute strategic deal structures that balance cost, flexibility, innovation, and long‑term supplier value.

The successful Senior Sourcing Professional – Corporate Services & IT is:

  • Is a trusted business partner

  • Understands the strategic direction of the company’s businesses and aligns functional strategies and tactics to support and drive enterprise value

  • Establishes strong relationships with key business leaders and decision makers across the globe; to build strategic stakeholder partnerships, ensure category/strategy alignment and drive enterprise value. 

 

 

Supplier Relationship Management

 

  • Develops strong business relationships with all levels of OC's key supplier base with a focus on senior level relationships as applicable.
  • Meets with suppliers regularly to assess their capabilities, and understand their business strategies and priorities.
  • Proactively works with strategic suppliers on identifying and implementing continuous improvement activities to benefit both OC and the supplier.
  • Develops a strong understanding of key supplier industries through an “outside in” perspective and regularly revisits the perspective as industries evolve. 
  • Benchmarks OC's key suppliers regularly.
  • Leading and managing RFx’s
  • Leading and managing the negotiation of contractual relationships
  • Leads supplier management for each category, including:
    • Key account management
    • Performance management platform
    • Supplier recognition
    • Auditing (as applicable)
    • Supplier Diversity
    • Sustainability

 

 

Strategic Sourcing Expertise

 

  • Lead the development and execution of end to end sourcing strategies across Corporate and IT categories, including:
    • Software & SaaS
    • Cloud services & infrastructure
    • Telecom & network services
    • Managed services & outsourcing
    • Professional and corporate services
  • Assures compliance with Corporate governance and policies applicable to sourcing
  • Builds insights and knowledge of OC's critical suppliers, their businesses and what is necessary for the supplier to be successful
  • Develops a category strategy with a deep understanding of the suppliers and markets, as well as, key drivers and influences on those industries and markets. Keeps a forward-looking, long term, view of key trends and activities which will significantly impact the overall global enterprise.
  • Ensures suppliers’ operations are consistent with the global supplier code of conduct and OC values
  • Leads, manages and oversees the negotiation of contractual relationships
  • Shares functional acumen and concepts to assure sound decision making and value creation at every level of the business
  • When appropriate, participates on various committees and supports initiatives inside and outside of the function
  • Ensures sourcing strategies are thoughtfully developed and analyzed, leveraging focused insight on the applicable market(s) including but not limited to;
      • Regional and global trends
      • Regulatory trends and risks
      • Availability in the market
      • Supplier/category risk management
      • Supplier performance management.
      • Value Creation and other relevant business factors
  • Manages inflation and savings forecasts in a data driven manner to account for and mitigate short, medium and long-term risks.

Metrics        

  • Strategy development and regular reviews with Global Sourcing NLT and key business and functional leaders
  • Annual value creation targets and monthly tracking across programs
  • Cash flow improvement targets executed through payment terms extension and/or supply chain financing
  • When appropriate, accurate inflation forecasting through the lens of an external market perspective and qualitative explanations for key assumptions
  • Annual goals and objectives to support the enterprise goals as aligned on with this roles leader

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • An undergraduate degree in business, finance, engineering or related field of study.
  •            Two - Five years of strategic sourcing, IT Sourcing or commercial roles with progressive responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated negotiations skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Project management that drives impact, strong results and leads change.
  • Demonstrated strategy development and results in corporate and IT categories

 

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Extensive experience in a global sourcing organization or relevant business/commercial experience with progressive responsibilities.
  • Strong background in complex agreements, large IT contracts, and strategic deal structures
  • Experience in creating and implementing comprehensive sourcing strategies.
  • Results and impact-driven business partner with experience in influencing decisions.
  • Experience with complex agreements, large contracts or other legal agreements.
  • Business and financial acumen; insatiable intellectual curiosity with the desire of personal continuous improvement.
  • Creative problem-solver and strong change agent.
  • Self-motivated; strategic thinker with ability to drive results.
  • Industry knowledge and market intelligence.
