PURPOSE OF THE JOB

 

The Owens Corning (OC) Global Information Services (GIS) Plant Maintenance Solutions Architect is responsible for stewardship of OC SAP plant maintenance standards, processes, and best practices, as well as providing guidance/direction to internal/external subject matter experts and developers on their use. Within GIS, the Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence (COE) team is focused on delivering tools and technology for the full plant maintenance experience. This includes all global processes for maintenance order management, asset management, integration with warehouse, procurement and production processes.

 

This role supports the needs of OC’s global businesses for Plant Maintenance systems.  As a technology leader that possesses a complement of strong communication, leadership, and technical expertise, this role will be accountable to design and implement processes and solutions for our plant maintenance system and businesses that use both new and existing technologies to fulfill business requirements in accordance with our OC enterprise architecture and IT standards.

Span of Control:               Individual contributor; indirect leadership of external partners/project resources, as needed

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build relationships within the GIS organization, cross-functionally, and with key stakeholders; ensure effective contact to remain aligned with functional objectives.

Executing Strategy

This position is a multi-faceted role leveraging solid SAP development experience along with consulting and project management skills to operate and fulfill expectations including, but not limited to:

 

 

  • Define, design, build and oversee the implementation and rollout of ERP functional solutions based on SAP S/4 HANA for Plant Maintenance (PM) / Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and cloud-based solutions that support business processes (SAP Asset Manager, SAP Asset Performance Management)
  • Ensure the solution fits the Roche business requirements and the end-to-end technical operations processes including systems, interfaces and platforms
  • Collaborate with the program and business teams to ensure continuous business and IT alignment among different ARTs (Agile Release Trains)
  • Collaborate with functional and IT teams working closely with the Plant Maintenance, especially IT Architecture, Master Data, Procurement, Warehouse, Finance, etc.
  • Work closely with Project Management team to ensure effective project governance, management and timely reporting of progress on activities and work packages according to the program plan and milestones
  • Own overall inventory of workflows, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements and forms (WRICEFs) for the area of maintenance
  • Write and review functional specifications and configuration guides for solutions in PM/EAM area

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or relevant engineering field
  • 7+ years of experience in a global enterprise, delivering ERP solutions in transformational projects
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in delivering SAP cloud-based solutions in EAM.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with SAP S/4 Hana, including MM, PM, and APM modules
  • Familiar with ISO 55000 and ISO 14224
  • Proficient in knowledge of the SAP Plant maintenance global master data, Maintenance notifications, Maintenance orders and preventive Maintenance, Calibration process, Refurbishment Process.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Experience with key integration areas in Procurement, Warehouse (SAP EWM), Planned Maintenance Production, Quality Management, Finance and other external systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in large multinational enterprises as well as experience in delivering products in agile environment
  • Experience with the system validation process, including documentation and testing of validated systems
  • Advanced proficiency and experience with IT policies and procedures, methodologies, technology standards, protocols, and roadmaps
  • Experience collaborating in a diverse cultural environment and across international boundaries.
