PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Technical Insulation organization is seeking a Technical Services Program Lead to develop a multi-year transformation of technical services sale support team into a multi-million-dollar services enterprise for technical insulation.

This manager will heavily coordinate with Technical Service Engineers, Specialty Sales, Marketing Leaders, and Customers at all levels globally. Project manager will work across the enterprise, with internal and external stakeholders, including a broad range of customer consisting of channel partners, contractors, engineers, and specifiers, as well as potential external consulting partners to develop and execute a learning plan, business case and implementation plan with multiple workstreams for the project. Regular status updates to steering and leadership will be required.

 

Location: Open to Remote (must based in CST or EST timezones). Houston, Texas preferred

Reports to:  Technical Services Director, dotted line to Tech services / sales leader

Span of Control: Individual Contributor

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

This Leader will create synergies between technology, talent, tools, and management systems to monetize site services and application training for our customers.

Establish Tools and Roadmap

  • Build technical services map overlayed against project flow:
    • Identify viable programs through Voice of Customer work.
    • Identify success criteria of a program.
    • Benchmark to identify potential industry partners
    • Economic walk for each service and analyze each service offered at each phase.
  • Build consultancy map:
    • Use map to establish relationships with companies and industries identified.
    • Asset owner mapping. 

Establish Management Systems:

  • Characterize risks associated with the services delivered, mitigation plans, and additional actions to ensure Owens Corning complies with industry standards, practices, and norms.
  • Establish KPI’s of success for program applicable to each function impacted.
  • Develop documentation of day-to-day program operation.  
  • Creation of budgets, business plans, and detailed actions, along with the necessary resources for execution.
  • Creation of a customer feedback system for continuous process improvement.

Utilize Technology:

  • Finalize, create alignment on and execute project learning plan.
  • Coordinate with IT to scale services.

Lead and Develop Talent during Program Development & Deployment:

  • Collaborate effectively with Core Thermals, Specialty, Technical Services, Marketing teams and Business Development Leader.
  • Coordination of commercial efforts, together with the mechanical and air distribution sales teams, including setting their objectives.
  • Build a business case with a fully vetted recommendation of next steps to include implementation plan of program.
  • Develop training plan for team members and customers on all newly developed processes and steps.
  • Identify and develop recommendation for technical service talent and digital investment.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
  • Demonstrated success of implementing a program.
  • 2+ years of business to business industrial manufacturing or service experience.
  • At least 5 years of project management experience.
  • Data analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Travel is expected to be up to 30% by plane or car. Travel is arranged with advanced notice.

 

PPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • MBA
  • Insulation or energy industry knowledge and experience.
  • Industrial energy certifications, regulations, and policies knowledge.
  • Prior business development or program development experience such as rewards program, or service program that is customer facing or customer impacting.
  • Project management experience through innovative idea.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Build, propose, and energize a business case. Convince through value proposition. Create excitement around new program.
  • Ability to lead and align stakeholders of all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills including speaking in front of large audiences; the ability to communicate complex structures and ideas clearly.
  • Execute project management cycle - test and learn approaches, collect feedback, and instill updates based on feedback.
  • Data analysis capability for qualitative and quantitative data – survey building, profit analysis, and more.
  • Live the safety standard; adhere to safety responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated training and coaching skills.
