Research & Development (R&D) Engineer - Paroc Insulation

Location: Poland (Trzemeszno) OR Finland (Parainen)

About the position

We are looking for an experienced R&D Engineer to join our team in either Poland or Finland. The primary goal of this role is to both contribute and lead market inspired product development projects in collaboration with internal and external partners. You will  develop new insulation solutions to better serve our customers. You will, as well be responsible for enhancing the performance of existing products with the aim to offer more sustainable and inventive products to the market and to support Owens Corning’s sustainability aspiration. Additionally, providing expert services based on material properties, particularly in the field of stone wool insulation. Depending on your aspiration and experience, people leadership can be a responsibility area of this role.

Effective intra- and interdisciplinary communication within the company and with external parties is crucial. Key internal stakeholders include business unit strategic marketing teams and quality assurance, while external networks consist of research facilities, development partners, and suppliers.

• Providing high-quality expert services based on material properties, particularly in stone wool insulation

• Deep knowledge of material properties, especially stone wool insulation.

Business requirements

• M.Sc. or PhD in building technology, physics, chemistry, chemical engineering or material technology
• Experience in industrial, project-structured R&D environment
• Experience in Manufacturing or Building Materials is preferred
• Strong communication skills
• Fluent in English, local language is a plus
• Expected travel 20%
