About the position

As EU Credit Analyst, you will assess the credit risk of our customer portfolios in the EMEA region, in a business exposed to substantial credit risks. You will develop a strong knowledge about your customers, following up on their financial situation while getting familiar with our businesses, products and European commercial strategies. You will work in close collaboration with the controller team and in some circumstances with Sales Managers and Business Leaders to support a profitable & sustainable growth of our business while mitigating the risk taken by the company.

You will report to the EU Credit Leader.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Risk Management:

- Handle independently the risk on a customer portfolio

- Analyze credit data, customer records and financial statements, generate financial ratios to evaluate customers' creditworthiness and determine the degree of risk involved in granting/extending credit

- Prepare and submit for approval credit limit’s recommendations based on customers’ risk profile, expected customer’s profitability and business strategy (key accounts). Current level of authority will be 3MM€

- Provide recommendation for deviated payment terms approvals based on Working Capital impact.

- Metrics : Bad Debt Reserve, Account review compliance %

 

  • Business Support:

- Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with the Credit Controller team.

- Inform Credit Controller team, Sales team and other stakeholders in case of meaningful change of the financial health of a customer.

- Partner with credit controllers to set up new credit limits or review existing ones and to track change of payment behavior.

- When required, work in close collaboration with Sales Managers and Business Leaders, anticipate credit limits calculations based on business forecast, follow-up on margins and commercial strategies (attend customer visits and Sales Meeting, if needed)

 

  • Skills and capabilities necessary to succeed:

- Master’s degree in finance or accounting, or relevant credit experience in global environment.

- Minimum 3 years of experience as credit analyst

- Fluent in English

- Excellent and persuasive communication style to negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.

- Cultural awareness; conscious of country specific requirements and challenges

- Demonstrated ability to teach and communicate in simple and impactful terms.

- Analytical mindset

- Ability to develop an intimate knowledge of customers, competition, and the market and use of this knowledge to drive customer profitability decisions.

- Conducts himself/herself with the highest ethical and moral standards.

 

This role requires a dynamic individual capable of driving results in a multicultural environment.

Salary range for this position 3200-4000 eur/gross month.
