Role overview

The Legal Entity Controller is an integral part of the Nordics Accounting & Internal Controls Team and provides accounting support to the Legal Entities within the scope of the team.  He/She works closely with the External Shared Services supporting the Region to ensure financial processes are executed consistent with OC rules and best practices, in a continuous development approach to deliver quality, cost efficiency and appropriate controls.

The Nordics Accounting & Internal Controls Team is responsible to ensure the correct and timely accounting and effective internal controls over entities held by Owens Corning in Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway. This includes the plants but also the holdings and distribution entities.

What does success look like?

• Ensuring the financial close process is accurate and compliant with both US GAAP and Local GAAP.
• Achieving full local statutory compliance for Legal Entities.
• Maintaining robust Internal Controls and SOX compliance in line with OC rules.
• Fostering effective and collaborative communication with internal and external stakeholders, including the Shared Services team.
• Developing and maintaining a reliable backup strategy for Accounting and Internal Control processes.
• Processing payroll accounting activities accurately and on time.   

Continuously improving and simplifying processes within the Accounting & Internal Control Function, and leading or assisting in European-wide process standardization projects.

Business requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance.
• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in enterprice finance and/or general accounting.
• Technical skills: SAP experience is an advantage.
• Market Knowledge: Experience working with Nordic markets.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English; Finnish, Swedish, or Norwegian is a plus.

Salary range for this position 2700-3700 eur/gross month, depending on experience.
