Role overview

We are seeking a Reporting Development and Business Finance Analyst to join our Financial Planning and Analytics team within Mineral Wool Europe. This strategic role is ideal for a seasoned reporting professional who thrives in a dynamic, cross-functional environment and is passionate about shaping the future of data-driven decision-making.

As a key contributor, you will lead the design and delivery of impactful reporting solutions across finance, commercial, and manufacturing domains. You’ll manage small to mid-size reporting initiatives with a high degree of autonomy, driving process improvements and mentoring junior team members or business users.

 

What does success look like?

  • Delivering high-quality, scalable, and user-friendly reporting solutions using Power BI and SAP Analytics Cloud.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by translating complex data into actionable insights.
  • Leading cross-functional reporting initiatives that drive measurable business impact.
  • Continuously innovating and experimenting with new tools and techniques to elevate reporting capabilities.
  • Promoting data literacy and self-service analytics across the organization.
  • Maintaining a strong focus on data accuracy, governance, and alignment with business goals.


Skills and capabilities necessary to succeed

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a user-centric mindset.
  • Proven experience in Power BI (data modeling, DAX, visual design) and SAP Analytics Cloud.
  • Ability to design efficient and scalable data models that support complex reporting needs.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain data in simple, actionable terms.
  • A passion for visual design, usability, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in data storytelling, interactive dashboards, and automation of manual reporting processes.
  • Familiarity with SAP ERP systems, Excel, and financial/operational metrics.
  • A proactive, collaborative, and curious mindset.


Business requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in business, information systems, or finance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in finance, operations, and ERP systems is desirable.
    Technical Proficiency:
  • Power BI and SAP Analytics Cloud expertise.
  • Strong Excel skills for data manipulation.
  • Understanding of IT systems and data architecture.

 

Other requirements

  • Fluent in English.
  • Ability to work independently while aligning with team goals.
  • Experience in global or matrixed organizations is a plus.
  • Exposure to financial planning and analysis processes.

 

Salary range for this position 4000-5000 eur/gross month, depending on experience.
