Overview
The Plant Leader is accountable to implement an inclusive culture, organizational strategies, standards and practices, leading business changes, and the continuous growth and development of the Yulee, Florida Doors Facility. The Plant Leader owns the financial performance of the site and has direct responsibility for plant cost. Operates as an integral partner in executing the operational strategies for the business. Oversee the activities of a Continuous Manufacturing Operation through the deployment of TPM (Total Production Maintenance) strategies, influencing and developing teams, and supporting production of quality products safely, efficiently, and timely.
Collaborates closely with other leaders across the business to identify best practices focused on eliminating waste, serving our customers, and growing and developing our people. The Plant Leader is an active member of the community and represents Owens Cornings’s interest in local affairs.

Responsibilities
- Leads safety and security for an injury free work environment through our “Safer Together” philosophy, allocating resources, and identifying investments which support focused programs, system improvements, and leadership that strives for zero injuries.
- Creates an inclusive environment where employees understand their unique contributions and feel empowered to unlock their full potential.
- Executes business strategy driving towards manufacturing excellence through leveraging six-sigma methodology to oversee the activities of a continuous manufacturing operation through setting clear and measurable performance expectations aligned with division and corporate goals, analyzing and managing performance metrics on cost efficiency, deliveries, customer satisfaction, and overseeing annual capital budget and operations.
- As a champion of company values, provides leadership demonstrated through effective communications, coaching, influencing teams, training, and problem resolution in a way that supports the operation and execution of safe manufacturing of products
- Fosters community relations through understanding and partnering in local community, maintaining productive relationships with key political and community decision makers, and represents the company in a relevant community matter(s)
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) or Six Sigma Skills
- People focused leadership style
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to use OC systems and software necessary to operate within the role including demonstrating intermediate skills in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, SAP, and Outlook
- Able to utilize data driven problem solving methods for decision-making to eliminate manufacturing losses, unnecessary costs, and competitively drive results
- Demonstrated success partnering closely with peers, division level teams, COE, S&T, and Supply Chain teams
- Embraces and helps drive division initiatives throughout the business unit and possesses the capacity to take on additional division type assignments as needed
- Self-driven, accountable, high integrity, open communicator, strong work ethic
- Experience leveraging incentive-based rewards programs, identifying, executing and communicating distinctions based on performance of individuals aligned to business strategies and goals
- Understands business and financial accounting terminology

- Ability to travel as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Operations or Business, or Master's Degree Preferred
- 10 years of industrial assignments or experience
- A minuminum of 7years experience in manufacturing leading people in a crossf-functional and complex manufacturing environment.
